Gil Tippy on DIR and the DSM at AMTA

This is the video I mentioned in my first blog.  It’s about 9 minutes from a presentation I did in San Diego late last year at the AMTA national convention.  I am speaking here about why you would want a relationship-based intervention rather than an ABA intervention for Disorders of Relating and Communicating.  I also make the point about how it is more clinically appropriate to do a relationship-based intervention like DIR in this situation as it addresses the core deficits in a way that ABA does not.  Isn’t that important in this time of “evidence based” interventions!  Presenting with me is Dr. John Carpente.  By the way, that’s Clive Robbins, of Nordoff/Robbins fame, in the front row of the talk.
